okay so this is how I always resolve the issue with the cars disappearing whenever there is a mod update

The problem

what the packages folders looks like at this time

Fix - unsubscribe from workshop

Close the RF2 launcher

reopen RF2 Launcher

This should happen

If it doesn't close the launcher again and then reopen again

VEC mod still there - close launcher and reopen again

second time reopening - VEC mod now gone This part is key - there is no point resubscribing to the mod until the cars no longer appear in the launcher keep restarting the launcher till they are gone (if they don't disappear double check you have unsubscribed)

Close Launcher again

Resubscribe to workshop

Yesterday when this happened to me, i just closed rF2 and when i opened rF2 again it downloaded some cars then all the cars were in the list.

So sometimes you just have to restart rF2, apparently...

dont have a wife and coffee and what now ? :ROFLMAO:

nah i just smashed all content from rf2 away and reinstalled it = no angry noises and rage  (y)

Yes I had this happen and a simple restart fixed the issue as well. But the next step if that didn't work would have been to try exactly what you suggested Shawn.

In my case, I had to manually delete the VEC subfolders from each of the folders of the Endurance Pack cars. This was the only way to remove the defective VEC update from the car list of the rF2 launcher.
Thanks Shawn.

I had a problem a few days with installing the cars (Ferrai, Aston, Porsche, Corvette). Ive tried every step above but i didnt worked. After hours of trying i found a fix. I unsubscribed to the base cars in the workshop and the vec mod and used the new ui. The new UI installed the Base Cars --> restart steam and sub to VEC mod --> start RF2 --> Close Steam --> Start rF2 = everything works (atleast for me).

Hopefully it helps some people cheers
