We knew that season 6 would be a "learning" season, a season where we came to grip with what rFactor2 would require and offer. Using the current mod for much longer than season 6 is not an option.

Going forward:
1. We want to use high end models, and not something that is not fully supported by rF2
2. We want to support the artists that is developing these high quality cars, not use an illegal mod, which is not supported by ISI
3. We don't want to "waste" time looking into an incomplete mod. Trying to optimize, tweak and troubleshoot.
4. We would like to use more time adding cool features, such as glowing number plates, track features such as more cool objects and track cut detection etc etc.
5. We would like to use more time administrating the league
6. Last but not least we would like to offer the best quality of racing experience

Taking the above notes into consideration, we've come a long way with what we started with and have now. But it would simply be like pissing your pants to get warm to keep trying to fix this mod. Something else will eventually come up. Mostly thanks to Tomas and Noel (and ofcause ISI and SimHQ) we have a working mod right now, which actually isn't so bad.

The time that we use on fixing and troubleshooting is a significant amount of time which could have been used otherwise.

If you have followed the development of rFactor2 or have raced the Audi R18 in rFactor1 you are familiar with Ales, the main man behind the mod group "United Racing Design" who is developing the EnduranceXRacing mod. This is the mod we will be switching too. It will have P1 and P2 cars, so don't worry. However we will be using a slightly changed version, so it's not the "public" version.
Things like equal cars are important for these kind of races, seconds turn into minutes over 12 hours.

But it's a payware mod, do I have to pay to race?
To get access to the season mod and even to get access to the race server we will require that you own the mod, however a very good deal has been made with the mod group saving you approximately 50% of the cost has just been "signed"

Donators of the league allready have early access to the mod, this has been granted to them as soon as they donated money to us - this will continue to happen. However to keep the wheels spinning here, we have to ask of them to pay the "upgrade fee" for themself.

Access to buying the mod will be available on the forum and the payment will go straight to URD*, without us being involved. VEC would still ask that you donate money to us, even if you pay the very discounted version through us - we still have to pay for servers, and personally I will have to pay a 24/7 power to the teamspeak server. Webserver etc etc still costs money.
*Edit - due to several issues, we´ve started handling the payment and is sending the money to URD - but access to the files will still be handled here.

I allready own the mod
If you allready own the EGT mod, please make sure you PM me so I can confirm with URD that you are allowed access. After that you will be required to upgrade to the full mod, if you paid the 9,90 euro, you will only be asked to pay additional 4 euros to get the full mod - a sweat deal!

Corvette C6.R joins Le Mans
We are still changing little things in the mod and require feedback, which is why we are happy to announce that the "free" Corvette C6.R will be racing as a pointless class (like the delta wing) to give us real time motec etc. This class will be GTE and will be driven by the team behind #23 which is why this car will not participate for the rest of the season. #00 VEC Corvette C6R in a special livery which will be added to the server at the next update. This way you can give it a spin and to see if you will look forward to Season 7 as much as we are.

Summary
VEC will be using the full URD mod for season 7
We will finish the current season with the mod we have, but adding 1 more P1 has high prio
We will be adding the Corvette GTE class and get a lot of data from it.
Season 7 mod will be changed slighty, and will have close if not equal cars (like season 5).

Buy options:
You have not bought the mod and wish to participate, you will have to pay euro 14 (50% discount) - Buy the full mod here
Please note that this will include the FULL mod, P1, P2 and GT´s
You have bought the mod for 9,90 at URDs page or is a VEC donator.
Only a small upgrade at euro 4 is needed, PM Jimmi for details.
A pre-sale mod will be made for new members joining in Season 7, people will then have access to a test mod. Current members can obviously try the C6.R in the current mod.
